08/29/03 Kevin Budden... WOW!! my all time favorite car. in the day at Eastwindsor speedway this car was the one to beat. I remember enjoying watching the way Gary would make the front tires dance and wiggle through the turns, this car was very dominant. thanks again for the great memories! .
08/29/03 3-Wide I knew it wouldn't take long for you to find this Kevin!  Special thanks to Dave Gunther for providing the picture and I hope someone out there can provide the name of the photographer so that we can give them proper credit.
08/31/03 Jeff McClung Look how mutch larger the front outside tire is than the rear tire, wonder if this is a Whip Mulligan chassis, I think it is
08/31/03 3-Wide I notice the tire thing too.  We all remember the days of running a pony wheel, but I don't think I ever remember seeing a car with a right front tire as big, or bigger than the right rear.
08/31/03 (added to on 9/5/03) Scott Pacich If I'm not mistaken, this was Whip's first car.  I think this was the first of his tubular frame cars that were pretty popular in the mid 70's. This one, Grbacs, Ploskies, Del George's and a few others were fast and reliable.   It later became the Ferriaulo 73 that's pictured on an earlier page. That looks like a vintage 60's RR on the front, doesn't it?
11/05/03 Thomas Shortway PICTURE TAKEN AT ORANGE COUNTY AND SOLD AT TRACK STAND.  MIGHT WANT TO CONTACT TRACK FOR NAME OF PHOTGRAPHER
11/20/06 Neal Mulligan Scott is absolutely correct this car was built by Whip Mulligan for Richard Egge. As a kid I remember Dad building this car in Hibernia NJ.  This car went on to win about 150 feature events in both Modified and sportsman ranks. First as the number 9 then as number 73.
02/20/07 Glenn Cuomo The year was 1973 at Middletown, NY. My father worked on the car for his friend Richard Ege. It was the first day out with the Mulligan built car.  Take a look at the spoiler on the back of the roof - track officials made them remove it later that day. 1973 was the only year Gary Balough drove for Ritchie Ege.
